I often hear people say that the design field isnât essential, that thereâs no space for designers to grow in finance or society. But letâs pause for a moment and think about this.
If design didnât matter, what do we make of Allah Almighty, who intricately created everythingâfrom tiny honeycombs to the vast sky? He could have made our world black and white, yet He filled it with vibrant colors and diverse tones. Why? Because thereâs beauty and intention in every detail. Look at the sky, the hues of the ocean, and even the variety of pebblesâthereâs a purpose behind every element.
Some might say that beyond the basics of food, clothing, and housing, engineers and architects are the ones who build society. But let me ask: what about the sky? Why did Allah create it with so many shades? Was it so hard to make everything one color? Absolutely not! We canât imagine a world without the proper balance of colors. If colors were thrown together without thought, our world would be a chaotic mess. Just take a look around you and think about everything that exists without the influence of a designer.
As a print designer, I believe it's my duty to extract inspiration from this beautifully crafted world. Why shouldnât we create patterns that reflect the intricate designs of nature? Just like Allah planned the world with intention, we should approach our work with the same mindset.
Letâs challenge the idea that designers are unnecessary. The world thrives on design, and we canât overlook its vital role in shaping our experiences.
